This area of Speyside has been populated for the past 5,000 years with evidence of Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Age settlement.

Stories by the Way focuses on the past 1,600 years with a mix of History, Myth and Legends from this period. Some are sad, some funny, some frightening, but all drawn from the real lives of the people who lived here

Walk 1 Twa Kirks

A gentle riverside walk between the Village Square and the ruins of the ancient Kirk o St. Drostan. Stories from 1500 years of local History, Myth and Legend. Picts, Vikings, Jacobites, devastating Floods, Witch Trials and Water Beasties all feature. Were the lives of the Scottish clansmen and women as romantic as some would have us believe?

Walk 2 Glenallachie

A picturesque waterside walk by the Lour burn and Linn Falls. Natural woodland and scenic views of Ben Rinnes are to be found on this route. Return to village via the mysterious Fairy Knowe where Hatton the fairmer spent a year and a day among the wee folk who lived there.
